Joining Discord issue

Trying to join Discord and it has a problem verifying the phone number. I receive the following error when I type the code in: An existing discord account is already using this number. Please remove it before it can be used with a new account. Any suggestions?

It means either you have another account with it verified to or someone else previously verified their account with it. I personally have never had this issue or seen it before, I would recommend trying to contact Discords customer support if you still have the issue. We require verified accounts.

I appreciate the direction you sent me...found an old account with my phone number associated. Deleted that account and was successful in entering the discord channels.
