Would you guys dare to give it a try and ride an aircraft without a pilot as you travel to your dream destination?

we already have "Semi pilot-less" aircraft.

its called an AutoPilot

flip a switch, turn a few knobs and press a couple buttons...... PRESTO , aircraft flies itself.

AP's can now even Take off automatically and even LAND automatically.

i say "Semi Pilot-less" because someone is still in the cockpit for safety reasons, but the aircraft will in fact fly itself from takeoff to landing if allowed.

Sure, why not. Can't be much worse than pilots asleep at the yoke that we have now.

not true in the slightest, paying for all that automation surely raise prices by a good margin if not outright doubling them.

Sure, that must explain why they are getting rid of all the robots and automation in manufacturing and every other industry.

you are forgetting some things.....

personnel to maintain those systems plus remote access if a system should fail while the aircraft is airborne.... someone would have to fly it.

way too much risk factor to devise such a system, it would most likely be required to have double if not triple redundant systems and those costs add up rather quickly.
