It's 3rd. 1st. 2nd. 3rd. From 4th onward until you come back to 21st, 22nd, 23rd it's a th. Then keep doing that for every number that does not end in 1, 2, or 3, excluding 11, 12 and 13, which all get the th i.e. 11th, 12th, 13th. English is weird, I know. Alternatively you can just spell the word out as "third" but I don't know if having to remember all of the words in English is easier than just remembering the way that the abbreviations work for certain words.

I think you guys should investigate why 1st 2nd 3rd world terms were invented during the cold war and how use every one of those 3
