Complaint Handled Complaint from UbiquitousBF about player xSatuOrang

Who are you reporting? xSatuOrang

Date of incident Oct 3, 2023

Which server were you on? BZ1

Describe the incident When attempting to land the heli to fill the random gunner in on my plan, he hops out to rocket me so I try to take off. When they jump out like that it's usually to try to shoot you out to fly.

It appears that he did not approve of your flying skills. Please do not do this again, if you fly this poorly in uncap, do not act surprised when you get a new player to teamkill you.
To someone who didn't know your intentions, it looks like you're inexperienced and trying to crash the heli.

1D temporary ban.

I think it's apparent from the video that I was experiencing a great deal of lag. At least, it was very apparent to me at the time, lol. This makes the heli extremely unresponsive. It's like you're flying in molasses for lack of a better analogy. Rebooting sometimes improves that for me, if that helps you understand the problem (I'm not a computer expert). Anyways, I'm simply reporting rule-breaking for you instead of retaliating, as you requested. It doesn't take much intelligence to teamkill or attack base more effectively than most players in my videos, but that just snowballs into a big mess for all players in your servers, as you know. Even if I were to fly poorly, there is no rule against that. Nor is there a rule against pausing for a few seconds to type to the gunner to offer teamwork. What you don't see is all the times I type successfully to random gunners and the friends I add after great heli runs with these players who I've only just met. I've found that after effective communication with a random gunner, gameplay can be rewarding for both players. Doing so, I've met plenty of heli players that I've learned a lot from. Talking to them briefly is a good way to know who you're working with and how to proceed. Things usually go well after good communication. Few react like the one in this video because of BZ rule enforcement. By observation, I think we also both agree that appearances don't excuse a player from intentionally teamkilling, so thank you for the minimal ban to make that clear to the player who did break the rules. Usually when you do that, I don't see the player make the same mistake again which makes a difference in the server. Those who do, weed themselves out of the server thanks to your quick action. I think that your responsiveness is key to the success in your servers and I appreciate all that you do, though I haven't always had the time to communicate that. When I go to other hardcore servers, they have a LOT more teamkillers, base attackers and griefers. Those servers don't punish players who break their rules and they aren't thriving like yours are.

After reviewing the video again, that checks out. There could've also been some hitboxes that prevented you from flying as straight as you wanted to. I swear those flagpoles / light posts act as magnets when flying. I appreciate you coming to the forums instead of violating our ingame rules, it makes it much messier when both parties are to blame and cross report each other. It usually ends up with precisely clipped videos that do not tell the full story.

While there isn't necessarily a rule against poor flying or communicating, it was more of a warning of how these situations usually end in my experience. I see a greater influx of reports where someone tries to do something good and they are handed back some good old teamgriefing instead. Thanks for helping to keep our servers clean!

Thanks for taking another look. Magnets, that's exactly what they feel like sometimes. I will say that the more the top of the helo rotor is pointed towards a surface of terrain, it will act more like a magnet as the rotor is giving lift in the game, but this isn't that. If that happens to me in game, sometimes exiting the helo to power down the rotor can get me out of that bind. I understand, sometimes the old idiom "no good deed goes unpunished" applies.

I used to precisely clip and splice the videos and sometimes add text for you so you didn't have to watch a bunch of irrelevant video, wondering what I'm trying to show you, but for the life of me I can't find that software anymore. I think I was cleaning out junkware and accidentally uninstalled it and I don't know what it was called, haha. Which do you prefer, a clipped video or these one minute chunks I have Shadowplay preset to download?

I prefer as much context as possible. Usually from when you spawn to when the incident occurs is enough. If it's a round based incident, provide as much as you are able to.
Timestamps are appreciated as well.
