Any chance you have a GeForce video card and recently updated your drivers?

Just reinstalled and got this message - I own all my shit and now this ?
Now I get kicked by punkbuster and its giving me this message -
Are we being held hostage ?
Did you buy it on Steam before?
The Punkbuster thing could be a new issue with GeForce drivers. I know @Radical_194 had this problem and was maybe able to fix it? I'd suspect new drivers are messing with Punkbuster which I believe was made in the late 18th century.

EA games .. is there a fix ?
I'm not sure but the first thing I would try is rolling back your driver to a Legacy one and seeing if that works instead.
Sometimes virtual CD/DVD/BD mounting and/or decrypting drivers/applications can do this when loaded. Look for "questionable" programs that may running when playing.
Happened to me and I do not update my vid card drivers anymore UNLESS it is a separate security update.

It was a display driver update...
Open Device Manager and find the "Display Adapters" section, your video card should be under that tab. If you right click and select "Properties" and then "Driver", there should be an option to "Roll Back Driver".
