Run malwarebytes after using ccleaner and enjoy reaping the benefits of your browsing habits lol.

ComboFix for the nasty stuff if ya don't mind messing shit up if you don't know what you are doing.

Do NOT use CCleaner for registry errors unless you know what you are messing with. I can't tell you how many people have screwed things up messing with files they don't understand by using that program.

Agreed. I have seen C Cleaner fuck up shit and make me reformat several times. No matter how many times I tell them not to even install the software.

Hate that program.

You guys are newbies. You are supposed to just use the temp files cleaner.

The registry cleaner is a separate part of CCleaner, lol.

And if you ever saved the backup (it prompts you with one everytime) you can literally double click that backup file and regedit adds every registry entry back as if nothing had changed.

I've used the CCleaner registry cleaner for years and I've never had any issues.  I've backed up the registry every time.

I've never used CCleaner to help fix something I've fucked up in the registry, because I've never fucked up my registry.  That's not what CCleaner's registry cleaner is for (at least I wouldn't think it is).  I've made several safe modifications to my registry, but I have no desire to do anything else.

With regards to my issue with the program, my dad uses it all the time, and somehow or another, the one computer he uses it on always fucks up the one program I need to run on that workstation, prompting me to reformat it.

I don't know what he does with it, but I'm pretty sure that it's the reason I reformat that computer all the time.

The root cause of the issue at hand is a classic postscript ID10T error.
