AI is going to kill my side hustle

I do photography on the side and one of the gigs that has been steady money for me for a few years now is ending because of AI.

One of my clients wanted a cover illustration for a young Christian woman's story set in the 1940's. If I were doing this it would be a $2,000 to $3,000 gig including the model, wardrobe, makeup, and location.

For $7 he got these four images. All of which are perfect for his genre.

Aaand with that I will be stuck doing portraits and weddings. :(

Shit, I am discovering an entire universe of AI image generators. I right now feel entirely oblivious that I paid no attention to this crap over the past few years.

Yeah most of photography is over as a business, a cousin is a photographer and he decided to start doing other forms of media production, specially video, AI videos are still displeasing to see.

I see the resemblance, Definitely.
It's uncanny to me. You can definitely see what they used to train these "AIs". It's proof that it isn't artificial intelligence though. It's just machine learning programs trained to produce facsimiles of actual creativity. A real "artificial intelligence" would actually be able to create without being prompted to do so.
