Appeal Approved Ban Appeal: molibidenium

In-game Name molibidenium

Have you cheated before? No

What's your side of the story as to why you were banned? I was accused of "TUGS glitching" with the following YouTube link: https://youtu.be/lXN8DA5NHhs.

After watching the video:

So, I usually place the beacon there and the T-UGS in the corner. I think it might have been a perspective issue.

I always place it right at the edge of the corner — as far as the game allows. I think it could’ve looked wrong depending on the enemy’s point of view, not accurately representing where the T-UGS is from the enemy's perspective.

I actually went into the map (alone, on an empty server) and placed the T-UGS again to simulate it.

From the stairwell, you can’t see the T-UGS with regular aim (without aiming down sights) — it really doesn’t show up.

I looked in the video, from the accusation, for a clear frame from the corner (on top of the mezzanine), where he aims at the corner, and I didn't find one.

Only, passing the normal view, through where the beacon was.

In this situation, he really wouldn't see it from the stairs, as he didn't.

The only way to see the T-UGS is by directly aiming at it, or using FLIR.

So I honestly think it was just a matter of angle/perspective.

My T-UGS wasn’t pushed that far inside, and the guy didn’t even climb up to actually check the corner.

I just need to get a friend to join me on an empty server, place the T-UGS in the same spot, and I’ll view it as an enemy to prove my point — false perspective.

Or, I may have accidentally placed the T-UGS deeper in than usual… which I think is unlikely — unless maybe there was a teammate’s body (alive or recently dead) right there when I placed it.

That could totally mess with the placement, and I think that’s actually a rare possibility.

But if I end up seeing that it wasn’t just a perspective glitch, I’ll just go with the honest “I don’t know how that happened” and apologize.

Why should we lift your ban? I have serious doubts that the T-UGS was placed outside the permitted boundary, as the video does not show the corner where I always deploy it (within the allowed limit). If I did something wrong, it was truly unintentional, and I apologize.

Kick reason (from Battlelog) i tried, but no red bar appeared

I have checked and verified that I am not banned at https://bf4db.com Yes

So at the time of handling the report that was submitted, I was under the impression that the T-UGS was glitched into the wall. You couldn't even see it, and the icon for it looked rather recessed into the wall to the point where it'd be invincible and physically located inside. This is a mere assumption that it was glitched. I even took the time to try and replicate this but failed.

Upon further discussion with some other individuals, I believe that this could in fact be a potential rendering issue, and perhaps the T-UGS was never in the wall as suspected. After further review of the video, you can also audibly hear the T-UGS get destroyed and see a small ember from the explosion which signifies that it was still vulnerable and perhaps never glitched.

In saying all of that, I believe that after reviewing this situation some more, it was in fact a false ban and I am hereby going to lift the ban from Banzore.

However, there is a little more work that has to be done on your part. You will need to appeal the glitching ban that has been applied to your profile over at Battlefield Agency. Using the link provided below, you'll need to join their Discord server to start the appealing process. It should be super quick and easy for you. I will also provide this appeal to them to ensure that everything is as seamless as possible for you. Once you accomplish this, you'll be free to join our servers again with no issues!
