What's your side of the story as to why you were banned? I accidentally destroyed a teammates mortar and they reported it as griefing. In an effort to get repair ribbons, I was repairing allied vehicles, so I wanted to see if I could double tap the mortar with my pistol and repair it for points. It showed at 100% health, so I thought I missed, tried one more shot, and it blew up. I apologized to the guy (don't remember who it was) and Sandwich Zero spoke up on my behalf multiple times that I was just trying to get the repair ribbons and that it was clearly an accident. Had I known that I could just damage and repair my own EOD bot, I would've just done that.
Why should we lift your ban? While I'll admit that my response to being reported and told that I would be banned was a bit heated (whichever BZ player/admin it was, I called an "idiot" or said they were "being an idiot" - either way, pretty much the same issue on my part), it really did seem extremely arbitrary and poorly reasoned. I understand the "no-griefing" rule (makes all the sense in the world), but in an instance where it was an accidental destruction of a replaceable mortar AND I apologized for it multiple times, it seems weird that THIS is what gets followed up on. I see wildly homophobic and/or racist language on your servers fairly often that goes unpunished, yet that is supposed to be against the rules (I've seen people drop "hard R" N-bombs late at night and nobody did anything about it.
Yes, it rubbed me the wrong way how this was handled, but I enjoy playing on the server enough (and enjoy playing with regulars like Shrimp, Chief, Sandwich, Lanta, etc. enough) that I am willing to register on this site and actively appeal the ban so I can continue to play on those servers. Lately I've been on there everyday and so long as people aren't actively being a dick to me or somebody else out of nowhere, I just play the objectives and resupply/heal my squad/team.
I don't cheat, I don't harass people, and I don't intentionally mess with people's stuff. If this ban is lifted, that will continue to remain true and I won't try to retaliate or insult anyone over it (though if the person who did the banning is a dick about it, I'll call them out on their dickishness and leave it there - I'm not going to be somebody's punching bag).
Kick reason (from Battlelog) Alleged Griefing
