Highlights on this show open campsites this weekend. Don't know if there's space.
This is a map of Yosemite Valley.
The
Upper Pines campsite is one of two campsites open in the park at this time of year. I've camped here before, probably around March or April. It is the easternmost campsite on the map. It accepts reservations, and I just checked the online reservation system, and there is only one site available, and it's only available Thurs-Sat. We could always call to see if there are cancellations, but that's what the internet says. Might only have walk-up sites available.
Camp 4 is in the middle of the valley (left side of the map). It sits at the base of Yosemite Falls. This site does not accept reservations "but the campground fills early most mornings from spring through fall." This is a "walk-in" campsite. No cars.
The other sites are about a 45 minute drive out of the Valley.
Wawona Campground is in the Southern part of the park. It is a 45 minute drive to the Valley from this campsite. They accept reservations, and there are several reservations available for Thurs-Sun, but only 17. There may not be any drive up sites.
Hodgdon Meadow Campground is on the Western side of the park and is about 45 minutes from the Valley. They accept reservations, and have more than 50 available. There might not be any drive-up sites.
Whatever the case, we may not be able to park one car, let alone a couple of cars.
Damn, I'm good at this shit.
