Griefing

Is blowing up unoccupied vehicles at uncap griefing? What about vehicles that spawn at capped points?

Also, is spawning in a vehicle and switching to gunner seat and waiting for someone else to spawn in pilot/driver seat griefing?

Just looking for clarification.

blowing up your own team's shit in spawn is team griefing!!! and if its not it fucking should be.....as for waiting for a driver because you are a shitty tank/lav driver its NOT....

BUT....BIG BUT....getting in gunners seat with no reps is borderline in my opinion....i hate those assholes....a tank is not a fucking taxi and i always have willing team mates on mic that will spawn with reps if seat is open.....

Blowing up uncap vehicles would be. I wouldn’t recommend it. Vehicles at flags would be different because not wanting the enemy to steal it is valid if you aren’t going to take it.

I don’t see spawning and waiting for a pilot or gunner as griefing, as long as you leave once you get someone. You aren’t allowed to pick a certain person or afk until they get out though.

I'm not trying to "get at" anything. The rules regarding griefing aren't exactly clear, so I was asking for clarification.

griefing is easy to understand. if you intentionally diminish your team in any way outside the context of preventing enemy capture, youre griefing

I think it has to do with intent. If your intent is to cause grief or piss someone off for the sake of watching them lose their shit, then it's griefing. If you're ignorant and just don't know better, then you're just ignorant. However, if you persist in bad behavior after having been educated because you "think" it's funny to piss someone off, then you're a griefer again.

It's kind of like porn; you know it when you see it.
