2. It's still a word to the wise because we've had folks who feel as you do and they often have a tendency to appoint themselves as The Game Police. They teamkill other players who don't play the way they want them to, they C4 vehicles, they kill their own heli pilots, and etc.

See, I have sometimes fucked up in the past and run into the people who can ban you, suspend you, and give you a sternly worded rebuke. And their opinions matter.
You do not want to run afoul of them. Especially now that you've attracted their attention, participated in this discussion, and are now well aware of the house rules.
That said, I hope you drop by on BZ1 and give it a go at using me for a practice target. Everyone else does!

Some of the mutts we see on BF4 are utter retards. They want the standoff weapons (AA & HIMARS) to close with armor and infantry.
An AA with actives can have a range that extends well beyond anything else in the game. If the AA keeps pushing up to “dominate” and keeps dying from ground units then that opens up the skies over and over again for 60s. 60s can give a hvy jet has enough time to kill at least 2 tanks without AP, one tank with AP, or one boat with AP
Uh oh. At least one other player understands precisely how a strong pilot in the attack jet can dominate a match. I love poor AA employment. Non-stop attack jet rape is real.
In case you plebes don't understand, the A-10 is king. The whole game is ultimately A-10 vs AA.

Some of the plebes also neglect to realize that the AA is not primarily about getting kills or points. It's about suppressing or disrupting enemy air operations in support of your ground forces.
Like I always rattle off ONE missile at a heli or jet and then watch them pop chaff/flares and abort their attack approach, which saves my guys on the ground even if I get zero points from the transaction.
If they're stupid enough to hang out then after their countermeasures dissipate I fire two missiles at them and follow up with guns for the kill.
The good pilots? Yeah, I rarely kill them but then that's not what I want to accomplish.
I just want to deny them their kills on my team.

For the rest of you tards, this is a public service announcement.
There's a power hierarchy to the game. The reason you incessantly whine about how either the attack jet or AA are "OP" is because you don't understand those vehicles are at the top of the pyramid.
The stealth jet has exactly two valid employment strategies: (1) shoot down other enemy jets, of particular importance is the attack jet, and (2) synchronize with the attack jet to take out the AA (if the attack jet pilot even needs the help). Any other action is masturbation.
With the skies clear, armor can move in and support troops. The attack heli is also highly efficient in this role and serves a dual-purpose combating armor.
The transport chopper is a fucking bus.
The little bird is primarily anti-troop.
Troops take and hold flags. The effectiveness of each successive combat layer is dependent on the efficiency of the proceeding layer.
Without air support you're fucked.... ROYAL fucked.
That's the whole fucking game. Stop trying to make this more complicated than it really is and realize BF4 is no different than a chess match. This IS warfare.
Maybe if some of you dolts actually served, you'd already know this. Fucking amateurs.

It’s honestly kinda funny (and frustrating) that these long time players haven’t figured it out… The threat matrix stuff or the hierarchy (as you called it) goes waaaaay back to early bf titles and hasn’t changed all that much…. The strategies for winning a match have remained largely the same… Like when a pro pilot would fuk up the entire team on an objective with a MI-24 HIND on BFBC2. So the priority became knock out the HIND or suppress it with darts/stationary AA guns so that it doesn’t wipe out ground forces trying to push or defend an objective
