After the latest patch from EA.....
if you have a Linksys router you can experience game crash issues or crash to desktop issues....
the simple fix is....
go into your Router Web Panel
go to Administration
then turn off the Upnp function of your router....
Couple of words of advice....
if you use a shared network printer or have file sharing between PCs you may or may not experience issues....
If you run Windows 7 chances are you wont's see any negative effects from the router setting change.
If you run Windows XP chances are you will see more negative effects from the router setting change.
I did this yesterday after going to EA chat and forums with my specific event viewer crash log and asked for a REAL solution to the BOGUS problem....
