oh yeah Grimaldis is top notch.... however it has been sold and its not as good as it used to be, nothing is i suppose, but its still a top tier pizza.

Patsy sold it to a wanna be Frank Ciolli, who doesn't even reside in NY, in 1998. In 2000 Frank lost the ownership of the original location under the Brooklyn Bridge due to tax fraud. Eventually he found a bank and using the Grimaldis name secured a loan to purchase the old bank building next door to the original location. But Frank continues to have tax problems and has run the business into debt with several locations closed for failure to pay taxes. In 2021 Frank partner with Power Brands Hospitality Group for a new influx of cash to keep the brand alive.

Good info @ grimaldi's. Yeah I know they revitalized that area where its located and moved a bit back a building or two. The area is for sure nicer looking. I know they were fighting to keep the coal ovens and eventually won that. I was in NYC training a district manager who lived a few blocks from grimaldis. (this was like 12 years ago) I said dude, my treat grimaldis, lets go. Hes like, nah man that tourist shit we dont go there. Anyhow we went. The following monday i picked him up and asked how his weekend went, hes like, i took my family to grimaldis lmao!!
