This feels like cheating. The Shaggs never thought they were good and never wanted to be musicians at all. They only created this travesty because their father - who probably abused them, and possibly even raped one or all of them - demanded it so he could fulfill some insane prophecy his dead mother made. The fact that so many artists and critics claim that their pathetic work is some kind of marvel of latent creative genius says far more about the decrepit minds of the people praising them than any artistic merit their work holds. While being intentionally "bad", "simplistic", or "low-fi" can be a deliberate artistic expression this is not one of those cases. These poor girls went through the motions of creating this monstrosity solely to avoid the ire of their father.

Oh it's bad. "Outsider art" is just post-modern wankery. It's like saying that a "painting" made by a retarded orangutan rolling around in its own refuse on a canvas is somehow a piece of high art. It's not, it's literally shit. These people are just so high on their own farts that they think that whatever 2deep4u bullshit they concoct in their mind somehow makes it into a piece of art.
I feel bad for these women. Hopefully they at least eventually made some money or something from their shit canvas.
