Definitely. I expect swaps during a close game, just because teams go from [winning and strong] to [losing] pretty quick sometimes. I just wouldn't expect a single player to be balanced several times during a single match, and always to the winning team.

True story: I got that way playing Risk in high school circa 1980.
The afternoon game club was populated by snotty little faggot types who thought they were smarter than everyone else. I joined because I had an interest in learning strategy games like Afrika Corps and Stalingrad.
Got my noob ass kicked all the time when I started out. But then I learned.
This one time I was playing Risk with like four other guys. I got beat down to a handful of troops on one country and they ignored me. Because of their mistake I was able to fight my way back to total victory. It was and remains the tastiest gaming victory of my life. And it gave me a love for lost causes.

Oh yeah, our games sometimes were played over weeks. Afrika Corps was especially long.
My strategy in Afrika Corps was to send one weak unit into the desert. It was utterly pointless from the POV of the other side and they mocked me for it - which I loudly objected to and which encouraged them to mock me even more. Which was what I wanted.
My one weak unit would eventually reach an undefended objective and then I'd reinforce it and suddenly the arrogant buttfucks had to scramble to counter a growing enemy force in their rear area. And they'd lose.
They're similar to the run-n-gun types in BF who might rack up kills but without any sense of strategy and without making any contribution to their team. Kills are great and fun but you have to contribute to the team.
I like to snipe and I love to be in the enemy's "safe" area and snipe their guys which ends up diverting a bunch of the enemy to the goal of neutralizing me. It takes them away from the real battle and allows my team to gain ground. It doesn't always work but most of the time it does.
When I switch to a losing team the goal is simple and that's to escape the uncap and get a beacon planted where my team can cap a flag. This works so long as some retard doesn't spawn on my beacon and immediately start firing rockets like a virgin fucking for the first time.
