VOTE TRUMP

The transfer of power happened peacefully and without incident on 1/20/20. Your statement is moot. The "confirmation" was delayed by about 2 hours because there was a homicide in the capitol building (it was a bad shoot, non-negotiable), among other disturbances, like assholes running ripshod through the building (who were allowed entry by USCP). I am in no way shape or form making excuses for the people who were damaging public property. However, the damage done that day was 1/100th the damage done over the "summer of love". Taking over of Oregon public offices could be considered a coup attempt. It was hardly a coup, or even an attempt. In my career ive dealt with shit crazier than this on 1st avenue by the UN on a random saturday. Anyway, What plan did they have to hold on to power if they had taken hold of the chamber? Do you really think that the dopes would be able to gain control of the nation from their little minor riot? Hardly. Were the protestors in Kenosha or Portland or (fill in the blank) "Traitors"? Hardly. Thats a severe accusation and its been abused by so many for criteria not befitting it.

We'll agree to disagree, but i will end with this.

People gotta calm the fuck down. He was president already. There were no "camps" for (fill in the blank) community. There were no foreign wars started. The economy boomed. Industry thrived. People didnt have to buy groceries with their credit cards. Rent was moderatley affordable. Gas was $2 here in NYC (granted, at times.)

America will prevail and survuve with the checks and balances in place. Go about your lives, do the best you can for your families and yourselves. Stop looking for special treatment (not you, beeg, just in general). We'll be fine. We'll all be fine. Have a cream soda, shake off the loss and get back to being the best you can be.

/steps off soapbox

Thats what i mean by 'attempted' coup. They tried and failed.

I totally agree about the physical damage. Whoever gives a shit about that needs to have his ass un-stick-up-his-assed. Give charges for destruction of public property. and let em deal with it. People taking over oregon offices is a far cry from the highest office in the land though, and I'm sure you'll agree.

Yeah, thats fair. Covid really fucked things up at the end of his term/start of bidens. His economy was honestly good (corpo tax cuts aside), and I definitely think dems blew things out of proportion. Now if only biden would do something about that corporate price gouging...grocery bills are hitting rent levels.

Agree to disagree, but thanks for the thought-out response, it's appreciated. I suppose we should get back to fragging each other now

I mean for reals.. They let the guys in the building and even toured them around, enough with the rhetoric BS. There are like a hundred videos to prove this.. If you want to know about a coup, check out all the BLM shit they did to your cities, damaged and destroyed them, and even taking over a city block with weapons for months! Obviously no-one talks about this anymore.. I didn't see anyone damage, loot or even arson on the capital hill. Enough with the woke bs, at least now Trump can clean house and do what he should've when he got in the first place. Sadly not enough bullets to get rid of Progressive-Liberalism.

If you tilt your head just right, those riot police like kinda like a red carpet for the mob.

Like ed said, agree to disagree. We aren't going to agree on this silent. really ask yourself: if that was a blm mob breaking into the capitol and committing the same crimes, would you be saying the same thing?

If the site is biased, it's biased. But the content of the article I linked is a direct link to the videos hosted on a .gov site and a statement by Speaker Johnson. There's no room for bias there, except in the statement itself.

No No I just thought it was interesting that you cited the Hays Post for the link and not a Centric news agency.

The article was pretty barebones, i figured that was perfect since it had basically zero spin/bias in either direction. Have you had the chance to watch any of the videos?
