Have you tried calling EA's corporate number? And I mean their corporate number, not their customer support number. Call multiple times a day, every day until they help you.

I've asked Mobius to ban my LT account on the game servers (at least for now) just to head off anyone who might be able to get into the account. I deeply appreciate his help here.

My old email for the account is gone and even though I added my current email as an alternate they won't use it. They also have my phone number and the shit head on EA Support refused to use it. So here I am.
No biggie. It's an excuse to work my way up the levels again and do the missions again.
Did you report the hack to anyone aside from EA?
Most states have a cyber crimes organization or a Fusion center you can contact to report this kind of thing. If the perps are in the USA (or close enough) they'll go get them. Putting hackers in prisons or graves seems to be a thing lately.
Never tough about it, didn't know either. Honestly I just was glad to recover all my shit, they stole ubisoft, ea, my email and my facebook accounts. Had to call each company and solve it one at the time. I just wanna forget about it. Hopefully not, but if I get hacked again I'll get into the button of it. Thanks

Yeah I wanted to jokingly suggest you choose a reversed name like Short + the reverse of Trang, but I gave up when Google translate detected a Vietnamese word. Too much effort for little result.

I really wanted to go with -bZ-PracticeTarget but it turns out that this is too long for the small minds at EA.
What about just PracticeTarget without the -bZ- in it? The platoon appears apart anyway. But I assume it's a standard of your clan to write it directly in the name?
