These are songs that I like. This is all because you're Canadian, right?
I know. I'm just poking fun at you because the Tragically Hip are a very Canadian band. I listened to the 38 Years Old one. It was pretty good. These are songs that I like.
Folks went back to normal when they closed the case. They still stare at their shoes when they pass our place.I know. I'm just poking fun at you because the Tragically Hip are a very Canadian band. I listened to the 38 Years Old one. It was pretty good.
groovy bass line, not too shabby overall!
I'm surprised that you chose the point out the bass line of all things from this song. Television are mostly know for their rhythm and lead guitar work. The bassist, Fred Smith, was originally a member of Blondie before joining Television in 1975 after Richard Hell left.groovy bass line, not too shabby overall!
the hook reminds me of a Joe Jackson song.
I prefer the Joe Jackson version. It has a slower, less aggressive feel to it and I think the vocals are better. The Anthrax version's faster tempo does fit the theme of "time" however.Which do you prefer? Joe Jackson or Anthrax's cover...?
Time
i'm going Anthrax but im biased..... and based... methinks....
I was a big Blondie fan as a kid, but I do not remeber Fred, I DO however remember Nigel (Harrison?). Not sure why, guess I'm just old. Good stuff either way!I'm surprised that you chose the point out the bass line of all things from this song. Television are mostly know for their rhythm and lead guitar work. He was really early on, before they became big. I don't think they even released any records with him as their bassist. It's mostly just a bit of useless trivia. The early punk scene in New York had a lot of overlap and association amongst them. Tom Verlaine, the lead singer and primary songwriter in Television, even dated Patti Smith for a while and he plays guitar on the song "Break It Up" on her album "Horses".I was a big Blondie fan as a kid, but I do not remeber Fred, I DO however remember Nigel (Harrison?).
