Which makes me think... can we detonate enemy explosives and kill the enemy (infantry and tank running over their own mines) with our pistol like we can with the MAV? I have never tested it in the field. If so, that opens the door to some fun clips.

There's always some overconfident dummy who stops somewhere to fire at things and you can easily sneak up on him and enjoy some humor at his expense.
Disclaimer: Sometimes the dummy is me so I know what I'm talking about!
What a coincidence. Following this discussion, it made me want to play with the MAV again. I played last night and I blew up the face of a player who had put explosives on his jihad quad. He was surprised to say the least. He had never seen a MAV kill someone.
I like throwing Slams on tanks/LAVs/AA and hit them with the 44. LOL fun timesMy most evil thing to do is to drop mines/C4 behind an enemy tank/LAV/AA and then use the 44 pistol to set them off and get the kill.
The dumbass sees that he got killed by a 44 and wastes the rest of the round accusing me of hacking. It's like a bonus.
Good times.
I will add that when I am sniping and I see a tank/LAV getting pounded I'll take a couple rifle shots at the tank because every now and again it's my bullet that gets the damage score to 0% and I get the kill.
