If it's a stupid idea but it WORKS...

then it's not such a stupid idea.

Out in the desert I made a shitter with a milk crate and some foam inserts from a case of hand grenades.

We were digging cat-hole latrines so all you need do was set up the milk crate over your hole and take care of business. My "portable throne" as we called it was even blessed by our unit chaplain that liked to use it too.

Safety cone??? Genius....
 
We made up a shit seat out of the cardboard outer shell casing that comes or used to come around the box of MRE's. It was the perfect size. I dont miss that shit at all, no pun intended!
