My internet is screwy. I live in Colorado Springs.

I'm confused. I don't know why I ping higher in the town I live then in Denver or Dallas. I don't know why my upload is about twice as fast as my download.

Because of the design of the internet is is very possible you got a quicker ping to dallas than your home town. It is possible that to your hometown it look a less direct path and to dallas it was more direct. What are you supposed to have for down/up speeds?

Also do more than 1 speedtest per site. The packets might take a different path each time. Do a handful for each site and then get an average.

Also speedtest.net could be very busy sometimes and give false results.
