Flying Hovercrafts

Okay, not that I would try it here but I have to ask:

So you fly the hovercraft up to an absurd altitude...now can you get it to come back down again?

i would assume some well placed C4 would do the trick?

That seems to be the case. I was just wondering if it could be landed safely.

But like most glitches there's never a decent way out of them.
