Seems he legitimately thought the enemy was in play. Can we educate before we bring out the guillotine?
I get that RipeSnipe told him to quit it. I think we've all been in a situation where we thought we were whole-heartedly in the right, with a naysayer sqwaking to the contrary. Both sides think they're right, but impossible to substantiate either side in the moment.
Would it be unreasonable or otherwise cause undue hardship to have out-of-bounds maps posted on forum so that people can really get a sense for what is in play and what is not?
In the sport fishing world, in the annual regulations publication, such maps are provided to eliminate any confusion. I'm sure others can attest that it is often difficult to remember the exact boundaries for the enemy's uncap. I had just a situation early today on 1.5. I have never known Howie to be a rule breaker, toxic player, or otherwise shitty in nature.

if he said that I could see his argument but he was posted up obliterating anybody that walked out of that spot which is wrong. I did not want to make a complaint about it but he got an attitude about it in game chat so he gets what he wants.

this has happened twice in past recent history where I try to check a regular in game chat, they get a bitchy ass attitude and basically tell me to go fuck myself, so I let the admins square it away.
I gave him a gentlemans way out and he chose not to take it, not my problem, and he did not want to just be educated, he chose the guillotine.

The boundaries of the uncap are visible on the map. Just press M.

Personally I like Howie. I also liked MyelinSheath and several other players who have been banned. Sometimes people do dumb shit that gets them in trouble. That's life.

He attacked uncap and has a history of punish points, due to this he was issued a 1D temporary ban.
If he is unclear on what uncap is, hopefully he'll take this opportunity to appeal so clarification can be given.

If he chooses not to and continues, that is why we have a punish system in place.

That zig zag hallway is considered uncap? That can't be. I am certainly not going to allow an enemy to walk around that corner while I defend E and fire a shot before I engage. I can see Vinny for shooting down the hall, but why Howie? In the instance where that is considered uncap, you just baited him really in a scenario where you should be fair game lets be fair. Squad mates ducking behind cover to spawn makes you a live threat and puts you in the game IMO

Uncap is any greyed out portion of the map where the enemys base is.
That extends all the way until the larger room as well as until after the stairs on the other side.

It really shouldn't be that hard to see or understand.

If you're going to hang around the enemy uncap, you need to be diligent about whether you are within the rules or not.
If the enemy shoots out, you can engage that one single person unless the others shoot out, but not a moment sooner.
If the enemy uses equipment such as MAVs, C4, beacons etc you can engage that SINGLE enemy.

If you capture all of the flags you are allowed to advance upon the uncap as you have no where else to go.
Once you lose a flag, not all of them are blue, you need to start pulling back. As soon as one goes red, you would be in violation if they had not engaged you first.
Sticking around the furthest flag and breaking the rules is not tolerated, go elsewhere on the map if you cannot simply wait for the enemy to engage you first.

The enemy aiming a laser at you is not considered engagement. Spawning on a teammate is also not considered engagement.

I definitely understand from both a regular player perspective as well as an admin perspective. When I was in rTr, trying to educate players on the uncap areas was exhausting. I eventually had to go though on both teams of each map and screenshot each map to show where the go/no-go (uncap) areas were. It's touch and frustrating for an admin I know, and I also know how it can look subjectively as a regular player.

Clearly you are talking about someone else and not ME. I killed one person there. And that was you. I also just aborted my position there because if it was gonna be a problem, then problem was solved. Problem was solved. But you had to keep on with "you're gonna get ban'd dont believe me, i blah blah blah crap. I moved on, like i said. You didnt. For the record If i recorded everytime i've gotten killed in that exact spot where you were at, about 200 people would have Bans. Thats a fact. Also, read that chat box you posted. As you can see, you were still blabbering on about banning me, and escalating the argument. I only responded to shit. I just didnt type out this. And as you can see each of my responses got more heated, then de-heated if you will, cuz......who cares.
And at the end of the day, I can not say that anyone that has played just one night with me here, i dont believe, not one person would say I attack uncaps or am A dirty player. No one here can say that. And for me, that would speak volumes, as I know that to be true. And in the end, thats good enough for me, not what someone who "is having a shitty day" says.
Also: From what im seeing on the servers lately, can we up the points awarded for flag captures? The amount of people no capping flags is the worst i've seen in 20 years.
